Hikkers on the Salkantay trail spend a day approaching the mountain from the south and then another day in close proximity to the mountain as they scale the Salkantay Pass, which at 4,600m provides amazing views into the valley below. Salkantay trek of 5 days and 4 nights is a great adventure that will allow you to appreciate Andean and lush green mountains (Cloud Forest), streams, rivers and hot springs that will help you relax your body after the physically taxing walk. You can also feel the temperature change along the hiking mountain paths of the tour of Salkantay. You can also enjoy some snow in one of the highest points of the road, 4,630 mts/15, 228 feet above sea level. Finally, the last day (the fifth day) you will enjoy the Grand tour of Machu Picchu City.

DAY 1: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – CHALLACANCHA – HUMANTAY LAKE – SORAYPAMPA (SKY LODGE DOME)
Our great adventure start early, We pick you up from your hotel Between 4:00 a.m to 4:15 am to drive for about 2 hours and half hours to Mollepata where we stop to have a delicious breakfast and after we will keep driving to challacancha where we start our hiking once there at challacancha Our hiking team Will be waiting for us to pack all the camping equipment and cooking stuff and we Will start our hiking the first 30 minutes will be a little bit uphill to get the Inca’s canal (Water Channel) where we will have a breathtaking views of beautiful snow-capped mountains which are the Humantay (4120m/13500ft) and Salkantay (6271m/20575ft) – From here We Will start hiking to Soraypampa where is placed our first camping spot (3800 m/11750ft this campsite is the highest and coldest of our trip) We Will have a unique view of humantay and Salkantay snowcapped -mountains, breathtaking view. We Will ge our accommodation Then a Delicious lunch Will be waiting for us and then we will go to Humantay Lake to reach there We Will hike for about one hour and a half then time to explore around and then We will hike down to our best Sky Lodge Dome campsite of soraypampa. Once there We Will ge our accomodation, then ofcourse We Will have a Delicious dinner. HIKING DISTNACE: 15 km (aprox.) HIKING TIME: 7-8 hours MAXIMUM ALTITUDE: 3,800 m (aprox.) DAY 2: SORAYPAMPA – SALKANTAY PASS – HUARACMACHAY – CHAULLAY (SKY LODGE DOME)
We Will wake up early in the morning to our challenge day, after having a Delicious breakfast this day will be the longest day the first 4 hours Will be uphill to get the Salkantay Pass Salkantay Trek (4630m/15190ft) time for Victory a worthy picture for your effort, enjoy the breathtaking landscape. After a rest and recover some energy, we will continue our hike (downhill) You Will see how the environment Will change once We arrive Huayracpunku, where we will have a delicious lunch. after lunch We continue our hike until we reach our second Campsite of chaullay or Colcapampa We Will ge our accommodation and then a delicious dinner. HIKING DISTANCE: 19 km (aprox.) HIKING TIME: 8 – 9 hours (aprox) MAXIMUM ALTITUDE: 4,635 m (aprox.) CAMPSITE ALTITUDE: 2,750 m (aprox.)

DAY 3: CHAULLAY – LLUSCAMAYO – LORETA LA PLAYA SAHUAYACO (SKY LODGE DOME)
We Will wake up early in the morning to continue our great adventure, we start hiking for about 06 hours all the way down through a jungle Valley surronding a lot of mountains until We arrive to la Playa the temperature improve considerably. Today we will have wonderful views of waterfalls, tropical fruits, plants and as soon as we are at la playa we will have lunch and then we will rest and ge our accommodation at la Playa. a delicious lunch Will be waiting for us. In the afternoon You Will have the opportunity to visit Santa Teresa the hot spring of colcalmayo, even if is not included in the program You can organize with the group and the Your head guide in order to go to this place, Really nice option to rest and enjoy your free afternoon. HIKING DISTANCE: 16 km (aprox.) WALKING TIME: 6-7 hours MAXIMIM ALTITUDE: 2,750 m (aprox.) CAMPSITE ALTITUDE: 1,600 m (aprox.)

DAY 4: LORETA – LUCMABAMBA – LLACTAPATA – HIDROELECTRICA – AGUAS CALIENTES (HOTEL)
We Will wake you up early, a delicious breakfast will be waiting for us then We will hike up to Llactapata site where you will get a chance to see Machupicchu faraway You will see the Back site which is unique no other programs has this opportuinity. then We continue hiking, throught a green vegetation where you will find coffee plantations, coca, banana etc. Until We arrive to Aobamba Close to hydroelectric where We will have a delicious lunch, after we will keep hiking for about two and half hours along the train road We will Aguas Calientes town where we will spend the night in a hostel You Will get your accommodation then We Will have a Delicious dinner Where the tour guide Will give a briefing for the main day Machupicchu. HIKING DISTANCE: 12 km (aprox.) WALKING TIME: 5 – 6 hours MAXIMUM ALTITUDE: 1,600 m (aprox.) AGUAS CALIENTES ALTITUDE: 1,900 m (aprox.)

DAY 5: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – AGUAS CALIENTES – OLLANTAYTAMBO – CUSCO
Our main and deserved Day¡¡¡ We Will wake up early morning about 4 am We Will have two option once is hiking to the main entrance to Machupicchu Checkpoint which takes one and half hours up to Machupicchu but there is another option to catch the first bus ( not included in the program) which leaves 5:30 to Machupicchu this Will take 30mn. Both option in order to appreciate the magnificent city as the sun is rising. A proper guiding tour for about 2 hours is given by your main Guide. and after enjoying machupicchu you have to go down to aguas calientes to take the train back to Ollantaytambo where We Will be waiting for You in a proper tourist transportation back to cusco. HIKING DISTANCE: 4 km (aprox.) WALKING TIME: 1- 2 hours MAXIMUM ALTITUDE: 2,700 m (aprox.)

- Please Note: The DOME at 1st & 3rd Campsite is 6 Meters diameter has Confortable Beds, Blankets, Pillows Private Shower, Bathroom (Acomodation is upon request) (Twin Bed room, 3 beds room, 04 beds room) and our domes use Solar Energy and Solar Water heater is based on weather. And the 2nd Campsite of our domes are 3 Meters Diameter to sleep only. So, you will need sleeping bag. And we only use biodegradable things and we Support Sustainable, Responsible & Ethical Tourism.

- Bus ticket from Aguas Calientes to Machupicchu ($12 per person, one way)
- Travel and Health Insurance. (bring copies with you please) We highly recommend to get an insurance of trip cancellation/interruption insurance to protect your travel investment. Included with your pre-departure package, bring your travel insurance to cover trip cancellation, interruption, baggage loss and delay, emergency medical evacuation insurance and emergency medical expense insurance.
