Itinerary

  • Day 1: Cusco – Calca – Lares Hot Springs – Huacahuasi

    We leave from Cusco early in the morning at 04:00am with the pick up from your hotel by transport and travel through the Sacred Valley arriving to the lares valley where will find some natural hot spring of lares community and spend the morning in the medicinal hot springs, after our lunch we keep going 4 hours walk to get the first camping spot of huacahuasi. where our staf will be waiting for you with a delicious meal. and then our tour guide will give you a short briefing for the next day.

  • Day 2: Huacahuasi – Icsaycocha

    Early wake up and continuing up surronding the lares valley, we arrive to the community of Huacawasi. People here produce some of the finest weavings in Peru. Here, we can observe their great skills and brilliant techniques in the fabrication of ponchos and other garments. Passing the village we begin climbing up to Condor Pass, the second of the trip at 4300m.. From here, we catch a stunning view of the renowned Mount Veronica (5750m.) Descending gently for about one hour, we come to the beautiful Ipsaycocha Lake close to patacancha , our last campsite.

  • Day 3: Isaycocha – Patacancha Willoq – Pumamarka – Ollantaytambo

    Today our lares trail leads downhill to an overlook facing a wide valley. Descending into the valley, we eventually arrive to the community of willoc where we have lunch, from here takes two hours to arrive to Pumamarka and enjoy the inca terraces, finally we arrive to Ollantaytambo. Situated in a fertile river valley and sheltered by mammoth mountains, this ancient Inca village is considered one of the most important living museums in the world. This is a perfect place to appreciate the vast archeological remains and a wide variety of flowers and birds species.We will overnight in Ollantaytambo.

  • Day 4: Cusco – Kilometer 104 (Chachabamba) – Wiñayhuayna – Aguas Calientes

    We will pick You up early in the morning 05:50am approximately, We will walk to Ollantaytambo Train station, here We will have a train ride to the KM 104 where we will start our great adventure, this will be 03 hour hiking up to Wiñayhuayna this was an important Inca’s remain where your tour guide will give a proper guiding explanation. Here We will get our box lunch and after that We continue our hike for about 02 hours to the Sungate the main entrance to Machupicchu this is a unique experience in a life time, time for a worthy picture. We continue hiking downhill We will pass through aside of Machupicchu archaeological to Aguas Calientes town where We will have our accommodation and a deserve dinner where your tour guide will give You a short briefing for the main day Machupicchu.

  • Day 05: Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Aguas Calientes – Cusco

    We will wake up early in the morning around 04:00am We Will have two option to get to Machupicchu entrance, We can hike to the top which is one hour and a half the other one is By buss (bus Ticket included) which take 30mn. Once In Machupicchu Checkpoint you will need your original passport to enter, you will get a professional guided tour for about two hours after that you will come back by buss (bus ticket included) to Aguas Calientes where You can get your lunch (not Included) many options for this. Then You will need to be at the train station at least 30mn in advance of the departure time, the train is for Aguas Calientes town to the train station of Ollantaytambo where We will be waiting for You in a proper tourist transportation in order to take you back to Cusco and leave you to your hotel.

What Should You Bring?

  • To acclimate the altitude, it is customary to be in Cusco at least two days in advance of the trek (not mandatory) doing some activities drinking water will help you, some of you don’t need acclimatization.
  • If you want to book along the year, you should know that the Inca Trail is closed on February.
  • You will need to show the original passport at every checkpoint of the Inca trail and Machupicchu.
  •  Bring some Cash, in small denominations in local currency almost every shop doesn’t have card system.
  • Waterproof and Windproof jacket, rain poncho.
  • A towel and bathing suit
  • The sun is very strong a sun hat will be helpful.
  • Proper Hiking boots to protect your ankles.
